Attio CRM in 2026: the numbers show the implementation is what counts

Attio is growing among small and mid-sized companies. Those who see results have one thing in common, and it doesn't come with the licence.

  • #AI & agents
  • #Cost

In a short time, Attio CRM has become one of the most talked-about CRM systems for small and mid-sized companies. The numbers confirm the interest. But they also show something reviews rarely mention: the outcome depends less on the tool than on how it is set up.

The companies that have published measurable results with Attio built the system around their own business, automated one specific step and connected their data. None of that comes with the licence. Here are the statistics, the prices and how your company can get the same results.

Swedish companies are behind, and that is an opportunity

According to Eurostat's 2025 survey, 28.6 percent of Swedish companies with 10–49 employees use a CRM. In Finland the share is 51.8 percent and in Denmark 38.0. Among Swedish companies with 50–249 employees, the share rose from 43.5 percent in 2023 to 52.7 percent in 2025.

For a company with 20 or 80 employees, this means many competitors still run sales from inboxes and spreadsheets. Companies that bring customers, deals and follow-up together in one place respond faster, lose fewer leads and know what actually sells. And companies that switch now can choose from tools with AI and automation built in from the start.

Attio CRM is growing among small and mid-sized companies

Attio raised USD 52 million in August 2025, bringing its total funding to USD 116 million, and reported 5,000 paying customers at the time. The spend platform Ramp, which shows what its customers (mainly US companies) pay for, gives a picture of who is buying:

  • 5 percent of companies buying a CRM choose Attio, up 2 percentage points in a year. That is fourth place in the category.

  • 8 percent among micro-businesses and 6 percent among small and mid-sized companies, compared with 2–3 percent among larger companies.

  • The share among small and mid-sized companies has more than doubled since October 2024.

In other words, Attio is built for and bought by companies with up to a couple of hundred employees. So the question is less whether the tool is good enough than how to get the value out of it.

What successful implementations have in common

The measurable results come from Attio's own case studies, and two of them show the pattern clearly:

  • Granola built a custom object for incoming leads, sorted them into three tiers and let workflows move the best ones on to the sales pipeline. The daily lead review went from two hours to 20 minutes.

  • Passionfroot, a company with 1–10 employees, built the CRM around its own terminology and connected product data in real time. According to the case study, this produced 25 percent more transaction value per month through its partner network.

Both are tech companies, but what made the difference isn't tech-specific. Both shaped the data model around their business, automated a recurring step and connected the CRM to their other systems. Those are exactly the three steps that decide whether an installation company, a wholesaler or a consultancy gets the same return.

The results don't come with the licence. They're built in the implementation.

AI in the CRM in 2026: powerful with the right rules

During 2026, Attio has moved AI into the CRM itself. Ask Attio (February) answers questions about customers and deals in plain language and, since April, can also make changes. An MCP server (February) lets other AI tools work with the data, an AI field (March) pulls information about companies and people from the web, and the new Workflows (June) let AI agents use the customer data.

This means lead sorting, enrichment and follow-up can now be handled in the CRM instead of in a separate automation tool. But an agent only does what it is told. Someone has to decide what a good lead is, who owns which customer and what should happen when a deal stalls. That is where we come in, with AI and agents built on the company's own rules.

What Attio CRM costs, and where the money makes a difference

Prices as of October 2026, in USD per user per month:

  • Free: USD 0, up to 3 users.

  • Plus: USD 44, or USD 35 billed annually. Up to 10 users.

  • Pro: USD 99, or USD 79 billed annually.

  • Enterprise: price on request.

A sales team of eight on Plus billed annually comes to USD 3,360 a year. On Pro it is USD 7,584. AI and workflows draw from a shared pool of credits, so work out how much you want to automate.

The licence is the smaller cost. The expensive part is a CRM that nobody uses, or one that doesn't talk to your other systems. That is why it pays to spend time on the setup from the start instead of fixing it afterwards.

The pitfalls to avoid, and how we solve them

  • No connection to the finance system. Integration depth with ERP systems is highlighted as Attio's biggest practical shortcoming in a review by Stacksync (which itself sells data sync). If orders and invoices live in a Swedish finance system, the connection often has to be built via API. We handle that as part of our Integrations & automation service.

  • Reports that fall short. Users on G2 find the built-in reports limited. We build the sales reports management needs as part of our Data & reporting service.

  • A data model without an owner. Attio's flexibility gets messy without clear decisions. We set up objects, fields and rules around the business and document them.

  • Personal data gets overlooked. According to Attio, customer data is stored in Belgium, within the EU. The company is still responsible for the personal data, so we review the data processing agreement before any customer data is moved.

How we implement Attio

  1. Systems and workflow review: we map your sales, systems and where time goes today.

  2. Pilot on one flow: for example from a web inquiry to a quote, with real data.

  3. Data model and migration: we shape Attio around the business and move customers and deals without duplicates.

  4. Connections and automation: email, calendar, web forms, finance system and the AI flows that save the most time.

  5. Training and ongoing management: the team gets started, and we stay on hand as needs change.

The timeline depends on the number of users and systems and on how much data needs to be moved. The pilot quickly shows whether Attio is the right choice, before you commit.

Frequently asked questions

Is Attio good for small and mid-sized companies?

Yes, Attio has its largest share of customers among small companies according to Ramp's spend data. It is best suited to companies that want to shape the CRM around their own business. If deep connections to the ERP are needed, an integration is often required, and it should be planned from the start.

What does Attio cost per user?

In October 2026, Plus costs USD 44 per user per month, or USD 35 billed annually, and Pro USD 99 and USD 79 respectively. Up to 3 users can use the free plan. On top of that, budget time for setup, migration and training.

Does NOD³ help implement Attio?

Yes. We carry out the systems and workflow review, set up the data model, migrate data, build connections and automations and train the team. We can also manage the system on an ongoing basis.

Does Attio work with GDPR?

Responsibility for customer data stays with the company, whatever the vendor. According to Attio, customer data is stored in Belgium, within the EU. Even so, read the data processing agreement before moving customer data.

Can we move from Excel or another CRM to Attio?

Yes, but plan the data model first. Decide which fields you need and remove duplicates before you migrate; otherwise the old problems come with you.
